Personnel of Bomb Detachment Sub-task Force of Samana Santa Turangga Ops from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police held patrols to several churches in Kupang City in ensuring the security situation ahead Easter on Friday (3//22/2024). Led by the Head of Bomb Detachment Sub-taskforce, Second Police Inspector Falerio Tanamal, the unit visited the churches and had small talks with church officials. They convey security messages to them and for the people visiting the church in effort to maintain the security ahead Easter. In every church visited by the unit, they talked with the church officials to discuss various steps that could be taken to ensure Easter would go smoothly. Furthermore, Tanamal emphasized the importance of cooperation between security officials, church officials, religious figures, and locals in maintaining the security situation during holidays. “We hope through this patrol, we could provide a sense of security and order to church congregations ahead Easter in this city,” said Tanamal. In his closing statement, Tanamal remarks that his effort is part of preventive measures in preventing security disturbances during Easter.
