inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ombudsman and the Ministry of Public Works (PU) committed to improve the quality of public services, especially in the public works sector, through the signing of a joint memorandum of understanding in Jakarta on Monday (5/5).

Vice Chairman of the Ombudsman Bobby Hamzar Rafinus hopes that the signing of the memorandum of understanding will not only be ceremonial, but also become a trust builder between the Ombudsman and the Ministry of PU for better public services in all lines.

"The Ombudsman as an external public service supervisory institution continues to encourage agencies to contribute to the social, economic, and public service transformation towards Advanced Indonesia 2045," said Bobby in Jakarta, quoted by Antaranews on Thursday (5/8/2025).

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Vice Chairman of the Ombudsman Bobby Hamzar Rafinus, Minister of PU Dody Hanggodo, and witnessed by Ombudsman Member Hery Susanto and Vice Minister of PU Diana Kusumastuti.

The scope of the memorandum of understanding is focused on six main points, namely accelerating the resolution of public reports or complaints, preventing maladministration, increasing institutional capacity and human resources, exchanging data or information related to improving the quality of public services, socialization, education, and publication, as well as other related activities.

Dody hopes that the signing of the memorandum of understanding will be a strategic step in ensuring that public services in the infrastructure sector run optimally.

"With this synergy, we hope that all services can be faster, more efficient, and more transparent to prevent maladministration," said Dody on the same occasion.
