inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The National Police (Polri) Food Task Force continues to monitor the distribution process of cooking oil on the market, although in some areas there is still a shortage due to high demand. Chief of the Food Task Force, Inspector General Helmy Santika explained that there were four steps in supervising the distribution to anticipate the scarcity of cooking oil. The first is by coordinating with the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) of the Republic of Indonesia to encourage the realization of DMO, especially in several provinces that experience a cooking oil scarcity. "With the Indonesian Ministry of Trade and the central regional food task forces, we will intensify the monitoring and inspections in the field on producers, distributors, retailers at modern outlets and traditional outlets," explained the Food Task Force, Monday (14/3/22). Third, encourage and appeal to the business actors who have not yet received an allocation to continue operating and assist the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia in making distribution patterns for DMO CPO and RDB of cooking oil evenly. "So it will not only be concentrated on industrial affiliations, who is also an exporter," explained the Two-Star General. The fourth is to take action against business actors who hoards, resellers, and impromptu cooking oil traders who resale it at prices above HET (highest retail price). "We ask for the stockpiled cooking oil to immediately accelerate its distribution," stated the Food Task Force Chief.
