Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri urge his members not to be provoked by actions from armed criminal group (KKB) in Paro District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains. “The distance between Paro District and Kenyam District is far, and that is why we implore the police chief not to pursue KKB as it is very dangerous,” suggest the police chief quoted from Antara on Friday (12/1/2023). According to Mathius, the incident where two members of Indonesian Military Force (TNI) Post died in Paro District were due to disturbances, not by assault. By that reason, he implores his ranks not to be provoked but to stay on their position to ensure no more disruptions from KKB. Mathius also adds that his party have taken firm law enforcement measures and expects joint forces in the region could apprehend KKB who has caused disruptions and chaos in the area. “Because we did have arrest many KKB members and we hope it could be further improved so that we could exposed their entire networks,” hope the police chief.
