Deputy Chief of the Papua Regional Police, Brigadier General Petrus Patrige Rudolf Renwarin attends the opening of the 9th National Conference of Papua Kemah Injil (Kingmi) Synod at the office of Synod Sementara in Kingmi Church Building of God Congregation Ninom Kotaraja, Abepura District on Wednesday (11/15/2023). The conference raised the theme of “Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no-one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14)” with a sub-theme of “Nurturing Diversity in Realizing Peace”. Conveyed by Jayapura City Sub-regional Police Chief Grand Commissioner Victor Dean Mackbon, Papua Regional Police Chief states that churches in Papua played pivotal role as other than nurturing the faith of the community, also ensuring continuous development for the prosperity of Papua. “Along with the government, Kingmi Church has proved their role in honoring the Almighty God by preaching the Gospel to all ethnic groups, and to also establishing and developing congregations by procuring young people for the needs of the Church," said Victor. Victor hopes the 15th-19th November, 2023, activities would go smoothly and accordingly. “Our hope is that Kingmi in the future could further solidify their role alongside the government and Indonesian National Police (INP) in maintaining and nurturing the unity of Indonesia, while also maintaining the harmony of three religious community in Papua,” prayed Victor. In the 9th National Conference of Sinode Kemah Injil (Kingmi) of Papua will also elect new Papua Synod Kingmi Chairperson and Officials for the 2023-2028 period. (ad/inp/pr/nm)
