Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  In its efforts to combat illegal financial activities, the Financial Illegal Activities Task Force, or Satgas PASTI, has successfully blocked 173 illegal online lending entities operating on various websites and applications. This initiative, conducted during the September-October 2023 period, also led to the discovery of 129 contents related to personal loans potentially violating regulations on the dissemination of personal data. Hudiyanto from the Secretariat of Satuan Tugas PASTI highlighted that alongside blocking illegal online lending entities, the task force took measures such as blocking bank account numbers, virtual accounts, and phone numbers, aiming to provide enhanced protection to the public. Based on OJK data, since 2017 until October 31, 2023, Satgas has halted 7,502 illegal financial entities, comprising 1,196 illegal investment entities, 6,055 illegal online lending/personal loan entities, and 251 illegal pawn entities. Hudiyanto issued a warning to the public, urging caution and advising against using illegal online loans or personal loans due to potential harm, including the risk of misuse of borrowers' personal data. Satgas PASTI, consisting of 14 entities from authorities, ministries, and relevant institutions, serves as a coordinating forum to implement the mandate of Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector. Its responsibilities include preventing and handling unauthorized financial sector activities. Satgas PASTI has identified 47 bank accounts or virtual accounts associated with illegal online lending activities. Actions have been taken to block these accounts, aiming to further curb the growth of illegal online lending in Indonesia. Hudiyanto emphasized that Satgas PASTI encourages the public to report any suspicious or potentially illegal investment or online lending offers to the OJK Contact Center through phone number 157, WhatsApp (081157157157), email: konsumen@ojk.go.id, or email: waspadainvestasi@ojk.go.id.
