inp.polri.go.id - Jember. The Jember Resort Police's Drug Unit has again dismantled the drug trafficking syndicate. The mode used this time is reasonably new in the Jember area. Ironically, the circulation of these drugs is allegedly controlled by an inmate who is in the Class IIA Jember Prison.
According to the Head of Drug Unit at the Jember Resort Police, Police Inspector First Class Sugeng Iryanto, the disclosure began when the police arrested R-R, a drug courier in a boarding room on Jawa Sumbersari District. From the hands of suspect R-R, the police secured 3.19 grams of crystal methamphetamine, Friday (12/3/21).
He continued, R-R circulated methamphetamine based on orders from his boss in the Jember Class IIA Prison. Technically, methamphetamine is placed in a public place, according to the point ordered. Then the illicit goods will be taken by the buyer. Thus, the seller and buyer of methamphetamine can conduct transactions without meeting or knowing each other.
After arresting R-R, the police then confiscated his cell phone for development. A person found a transaction plan with I-M-Y's initials who communicated to R-R's cell phone. Furthermore, on November 30, 2021, at around 11.00 PM, - I-M-Y was arrested with much larger evidence, namely 100.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The police continue to develop this case, including unravelling the Jember prison inmates' network.
Meanwhile, K Radio tried to confirm that the Head of the Class IIA Jember Prison, Sarwito, had not responded until this news was broadcast.
