South Jakarta Metro Police has identified a man initialed JK as the perpetrator who mercilessly burns his own wife alive. “Currently, the perpetrator (JK) has been arrested and been secured by our members,” explains the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Bintoro on Monday (12/4/2023). The perpetrator will be charged with Article 44 paragraph 1 and/or paragraph 2 of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning Domestic Violence. The threat is a maximum prison sentence of 10 years. The incident occurred on Tuesday (11/28/2023) at 14:50 pm. At that time, JK was blinded with fires of jealousy after seeing a chat of his wife and another man. JK then immediately snatched a gasoline, poured it, and set his wife on fire. “JK saw a chat from his wife’s phone where he saw the victim is having a chat with another man.
