inp.polri.go.id - NTB. The Sub-regional Police of Mataram continue to work on completing the case of sexual abuse against a girl aged four years old, allegedly by a man with the initials of F (45), her own neighbor.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Mataram Sub-regional Police, Police Senior Inspector Regi Halili, in his statement on Tuesday (4/15/2025), says that his party has secured F for examination.

“We have secured the man for examination. This step is important to quell the public anger,” says Regi.

The case was first revealed when the girl said that she was hurting when urinating. After an examination at a clinic, it was found that there was a laceration on her private parts. 

Regi also states that his party is now looking into the case and has not yet determined any suspect. If the investigation process goes smoothly, police will then hold an open case conference to determine the next step of the investigation.

“We are working professionally and will not arrest anyone without any basis. Our investigation process also includes coordination with Mataram Indonesian Child Protection Agency for the victim support,” conclude Regi.
