inp.polri.go.id β The police will normalize the traffic at the location of the Citayam Fashion Week (CFW) in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta, to anticipate congestion.
"Central Jakarta Metro Police will take anticipatory efforts starting from the pre-emptive, preventive, to law enforcement when it is necessary, to the CFW phenomenon," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Police Commissioner Komarudin.
"Therefore, we are making efforts to normalize the traffic around the show because, after we monitored it, the congestion was caused by the show in Dukuh Atas," added the Central Jakarta Police Chief.
The normalization was carried out by temporarily closing the famous zebra cross in Dukuh Atas and deployed their personnel at the location.
"We are doing temporary closures. Thankfully, in about half an hour the situation can get back to normal," he stated in one of his statements. "So it's not a blockade. If it is blocked, it means that the zebra cross cannot be used. We are just doing a temporary closure to minimize the congestion that occurs there," he explained.
The Head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police added that they will continue to monitor the location and will apply another normalization measures if neccessary.
βIn the future, we will make sure to do a continuous monitoring on the location. We will conduct an applicable measures in accordance with the situation if neccessary,β he concluded.
