inp.polri.go.id - Palangka Raya. The Central Kalimantan Regional Police have named the local GRIB Jaya Chairman with the initials R as a suspect in the alleged of illegally banning a company in South Barito Regency.

The Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Nuredy Irwansyah Putra said that R was named as suspect on Tuesday (5/20/2025).

"Currently, suspect R has been detained at the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Headquarters," said Nuredy Irwansyah  in Palangka Raya, Thursday (5/22/2025).

He revealed that currently investigators are still conducting further investigations into the case, and it is even possible that there are other perpetrators, as the illegal action was carried out by many people.

For now, only one person has been named a suspect, namely the Head of Grib Jaya Central Kalimantan, and his party will immediately complete the investigation files to then be submitted to the Central Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office.

"We are still investigating this case. We ask the public to be patient while waiting for the results of the investigation conducted by investigators," he said.

Nuredy also said that the determination of the suspect is a form of commitment from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police in taking action against acts of thuggery.

He asked the entire community not to hesitate to provide information and report if there are acts of thuggery that disrupt the security and public order in Central Kalimantan.

Nuredy added that the suspect with the initials R, who is the Head of Grib Jaya Central Kalimantan, was charged with Article 335 paragraph 1 and Article 167 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 5 years in prison.

He emphasized that this firm action is a warning to individuals who intend to carry out acts of thuggery and disrupt the security and public order in Central Kalimantan.
