“We are here not only to maintain security, but also to share the community’s grief,” said Cilincing Sector Police Chief, Police Senior Inspector Bobi Subasri, Monday (9/22/2025).
Previously, 15 semi-permanent houses in the area were burned down on Sunday (9/21/2025) night. Bobi hopes that the assistance provided can encourage civilians affected by the fire to recover.
“Hopefully this assistance can help the people to get back on their feet,” said Bobi.
Bobi met with the fire survivors who took refuge at the Al Furqon Jami Mosque. Police officers who accompanied Bobi then handed over aid including rice, instant noodles, spaghetti noodles, and ready-to-drink drinks to help the 61 people in the evacuation center.
Previously, Gatot Sulaeman, Head of Operations for the North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue Agency, stated that the fire affected 1,050 square meters and 15 houses. Losses were estimated at Rp 1.4 billion.
