Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police are investigating possible negligence in the death of a seven-year-old child who fell from the 8th floor of an apartment in Kelapa Indah, Tangerang, Banten, on Monday night (16/9). 

"We are currently investigating the possibility of negligence in this case," said Metro Jaya Police  Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi on Wednesday (18/9/2024).

The police expressed concern over the fact that the child was left alone in a locked apartment while the parents were out. Authorities are urging parents to ensure the safety of their children.

The incident occurred around 7.44 am, and the child was found after a security guard heard the sound of the fall in the apartment’s parking area. The child was taken to the Tangerang City Hospital for treatment but later succumbed to the injuries.
