Inp.polri.go.id - Tanggamus. The Tanggamus Sub-regional Police deployed officers from Limau Police Office to assist residents in clearing debris after a landslide struck Pekon Tegineneng in Lampung following days of torrential rain.
“Limau Police officers and villagers worked together using simple tools such as hoes and shovels to remove landslide material,” said Tanggamus Police Chief Superintendent Rahmad Sujatmiko on Sunday (31/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The landslide cut off the main road linking Limau District and Kota Agung, with one coastal stretch buried under 10 meters of debris up to one meter high. The disaster left roads impassable for cars, forcing motorcycles to pass cautiously.
The police confirmed that partial access has been restored through joint clean-up efforts. It urged continued community cooperation while warning of potential aftershocks from ongoing rain.
