inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The police are questioning four witnesses following the discovery of a remains of a girl with the initials AR (8) in a boarding room in Pejagalan, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

The number of witnesses may still increase as the investigation progresses. 

"We have questioned approximately four witnesses," said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Police Assistant Superintendent Onkoseno Grandiarso Sukahar on Tuesday (9/23/2025).

He confirmed that one of the witnesses questioned was the victim's mother. However, he said the cause of the child's death was still awaiting the results of the forensic examination.

"The remains is still being examined by the forensic doctor, and the results are not out yet, an autopsy is still underway," he explained.

For previous information, AR (8 years old) was found dead in a boarding room in the Pejagalan area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. The victim's body was found early Sunday morning (9/21/2025).

When found, the victim was lying face down on the floor of a third-floor boarding room. Her body was covered in blood behind his back, with dried blood splattered all over the floor. The room was also in disarray.

Police are still questioning the parents regarding the girl's death. 

"We are still gathering information," said Penjaringan Sector Metro Police Chief, Superintendent Agus Ady Wijaya, when confirmed.

"The father was present at the scene, but the mother was no longer there," he explained.

Police then searched for the victim's mother. She was finally found walking in the Kertajaya area during an Enhanced Routine Patrol.
