inp.polri.go.id - West Java. The Head of Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Inspector General Aan Suhanan reveals the truck causing the accident in Cipularang Toll Road was going at a high speed. This fact was revealed after police examined the location of the accident.

"There is a descent of approximately 5 kilometers to the scene. We also found the fact that the truck was in 4th gear, meaning the truck was going at high speed while descending," explained Aan while reviewing the scene of the incident on Monday (11/11/2024) night.

Aan explained that when the evacuation was carried out on the truck driver himself, Police found that the driver was driving alone.

"This means there was no one assisting him," said Aan.

According to him, police now are looking at the brake traces at the location to know whether the driver attempted to stop the truck or not. Later on, it will be concluded whether the accident occurred because of human error, or other external factors.
