inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. Lampung Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Helmy Santika appreciates the moves taken by the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) to prevent money politics during the 2024 Regional Head Election.

“I truly appreciate Lampung Bawaslu and their parties in preventing money politics in this election,” says Helmy on Sunday (11/10/2024).

The Lampung Bawaslu and their ranks are said to have continuously socialized the dangers of money politics through socialization demonstration tools (APS). Such APS includes videotron displays, t-shirts, stickers, banners, billboards, posters, flyers, brochures, and other media. Hundreds of thousands of anti-money politics APS are distributed to raise public awareness about the dangers of money politics and encourage participation in clean elections.

Furthermore, Bawaslu Lampung also involved the community in participatory supervision through political education in the Bawaslu Goes to School, Bawaslu Goes to Campus programs.

In addition, Bawaslu also forms Participatory Supervision Villages, Anti-Money Politics Villages, and Complaint Posts to invite the community to actively participate in reporting alleged election violations during the campaign period, quiet period, and voting day.

According to Helmy, the fight against money politics requires synergy and collaboration to ensure that elections are honest, fair, direct, general, free and secret.

“We welcome the effort of Bawaslu as we will also consolidate and socialize the dangers of money politics through banners and law enforcement effort,” said Helmy.

The Lampung Police Chief reminded that any violations in the election, especially money politics, will be dealt with firmly in accordance with laws and regulations by Bawaslu together with law enforcement officers, the Police and the Prosecutor's Office, who are members of the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu).
