The destruction of the evidence stems from the disclosure of two major cases carried out by Polres Muba in early 2022. Kapolres Muba, AKBP Alamsyah Pelupessy said the 104 kg of marijuana was successfully discovered by the Bayung Lencir Sector Police, by arresting three suspects, namely FS and AP who acted as couriers from North Sumatra and the buyer AS who were residents of Bandung, West Java. "In eradicating drugs abuse, the police cannot do it alone, it requires support, cooperation, and information from all elements of society," said Kapolres Muba. Meanwhile, the evidence of 1,665.68 grams of crystal methamphetamine was successfully uncovered by the Narcotics Unit of Polres Muba on Friday (25/2/2022) by arresting a dealer named Apek (41), a resident of Babat Supat District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. "Eradication of the abuse of the circulation and narcotics precursors (P4GN) is one of President Joko Widodo's instructions," said Kapolres Muba after destroying the evidence, Friday (18/3/2022). According to Polres Muba, currently, Indonesia is in a very dire situation regarding narcotics trafficking, and this requires firm action to combat it. Because drugs do not only harm the adults, but also the next generation. "During the current pandemic, there is limited space for movement and caused many people to have a problem with their own economy. This creates a high level of stress and opened the door for people to fall to the drugs," explained the Muba Police Chief.
