inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) has succeeded in suppressing the amount of money circulating in online gambling crimes in the period January–March 2025 or the first quarter (Q1) of 2025.

Head of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, said that the amount of money circulating from online gambling in January–March 2025 was IDR 47 trillion.

This amount, he said, was much lower than in the period January–March 2024, when the funds circulated was IDR 90 trillion.

"Now we have succeeded in suppressing it to less than IDR 50 trillion. That's something extraordinary," he said.

In addition to the money circulating from online gambling, PPATK also recorded the number of online gambling transactions in the first quarter of 2025 or the period January–March 2025 as many as 39,818,000 transactions.

Ivan said that if his party can maintain that number in the next three quarters, then the total number of online gambling transactions in 2025 will only be around 160,000,000 transactions.

That number, he said, would be much lower than last year's number of 209,000,000 transactions.

Ivan as the Head of PPATK also expressed his gratitude to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police for collaborating with his party in combating online gambling in Indonesia.

"This is a continued achievement after previously having had extraordinary achievements. We are sure that there will be more achievements in the following days," he said.
