Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka were sworn in as President and Vice President of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term during the People Consultative Assembly (MPR) Plenary Session held at the Nusantara Building, in the House of Representatives complex on Sunday (20/10/2024).

Dressed in suits and traditional Betawi attire, they smoothly recited their oaths under the Quran. 

“By Allah, I swear to fulfill the duties of the President of Indonesia to the best of my ability and with the utmost justice,”  he pledged, as reported by antaranews.com.

Gibran followed by reciting his oath as Vice President, after which both signed the Inauguration Minutes.

The session was witnessed by 709 of 731 MPR members, a number of national figures, political leaders, and foreign dignitaries. Over 20 heads of state and 18 ministers attended, with representatives from nations including Germany, Malaysia, Australia, Russia, China, and the United States.
