inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) hopes that the Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) of the Indonesian National Police (INP) can immediately work to combat corruption cases well.
"We hope that the new corps can immediately carry out its duties well in preventing and enforcing the law on corruption cases," hoped Kompolnas Commissioner Poengky Indarti, Friday (10/18/2024).
Representing Kompolnas, she said that her party fully supports the establishment of the new corpse which has been planned by the INP Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo since 2021.
In her statement, Poengky also reminded that there should be good coordination between law enforcement agencies regarding the authority to handle corruption cases.
On Thursday (10/17), President Joko Widodo signed Presidential Regulation Number 122 of 2024 concerning the Organizational Structure and Work Procedures of the Indonesian National Police which underlies the establishment of the INP Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) on October 15th, 2024.
The provisions related to the establishment of INP Corruption Eradication Corps are stated in the insertion of Article 20A which states, "The Corruption Eradication Corps abbreviated as Kortas Tipikor is an element implementing the main task in the field of eradicating criminal acts of corruption which is under the Chief of Police."
