Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Indonesia’s new capital, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, on Monday evening (12/1/2026), marking his first official visit to the city since his inauguration and the start of a working agenda at the new seat of government.

“This is part of our commitment to ensure IKN as the center of national governance,” he said upon arrival, as reported by antaranews.com

The President landed by Super Puma helicopter at the State Palace helipad in North Penajam Paser Regency after completing earlier visits to Banjarbaru and Balikpapan. He was welcomed by Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono and members of the Red and White Cabinet.

 Security around the palace complex was tightened by the Presidential Security Force and Military Police. During the visit, President Prabowo was scheduled to chair a limited cabinet meeting to review strategic development priorities in IKN.
