Inp.polri.go.id - Surakarta. President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the Emirates–Indonesia Cardiology Hospital (RS KEI) in Surakarta, Central Java, on Wednesday (19/11/2025), marking the facility as a milestone in bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“This hospital is a symbol of friendship between the two nations, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates,” he said during the inauguration ceremony, which was broadcast live from the city, as reported by antaranews,cin.

The president attributed the construction of the high-tech facility to the goodwill of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who, according to Prabowo, personally supported the project due to his strong concern for Indonesia’s health sector. RS KEI hospital is equipped with some of the most advanced cardiology medical technology available in the country, and is reportedly one of only four hospitals in Indonesia with such capabilities, and the only one in Central Java.

President Prabowo said that the new hospital should serve as a benchmark for national healthcare quality, improving access to treatment, lowering patient fatality rates, and becoming a hub for medical research and innovation.
