Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Indonesian Military (TNIP to take firm action against mobs that looted the private homes of state officials. T
The directive followed a series of looting on Saturday and Sunday targeting legislators Ahmad Sahroni, Eko Patrio, Nafa Urbach, and Uya Kuya, and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
“If there are threats to the safety of officials or their families due to looting, officers must not hesitate to act decisively against rioters who invade private residences or state institutions,” Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin said after a cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace on Sunday (31/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The meeting was the first since nationwide demonstrations erupted. Prabowo ordered INP Chief General Listyo S. Prabowo and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto to ensure security at both private and state-owned facilities.
