Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has signed Presidential Decree No. 66/2025, guaranteeing state protection for prosecutors and their families in the course of their duties.

“The decree ensures that prosecutors and their families are entitled to protection provided by the police and military,” reads the document received by antaranews.com on Thursday (22/5/2025).

The regulation outlines that protection includes personal safety, housing, property, identity confidentiality, and other forms based on specific needs. The decree authorizes the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Indonesian Military (TNI) to provide this protection.

Further, it mandates coordination between the Attorney General’s Office and intelligence bodies such as the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and the Strategic Intelligence Agency  (BAIS)of the Indonesian Military for training and data exchange. 

Protection will only be granted upon request from the prosecution service. Funding will primarily come from the Attorney General’s budget, with additional legal funding sources permitted.
