Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Prabowo Subianto issued a stern warning to his Cabinet members and government officials on Friday (22/8/2025), stressing that anyone caught engaging in corruption will face legal action without protection.

“We hope this serves as a lesson, especially for all members of the Red and White Cabinet and government officials. The President wants us to work hard and make every effort to eradicate corruption,” said State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who also serves as Presidential Spokesperson,  on Friday night, as quoted by antaranews.com

The warning came hours after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named Deputy Manpower Minister Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan as a suspect in an extortion case involving occupational safety and health certificates. 

President Prabowo immediately signed a decree dismissing him from office.

KPK alleged that Deputy MInister Immanuel Ebenezer and 10 others extorted payments in exchange for permits, seizing cash, foreign currency, and 22 vehicles. He faces charges under the Anti-Corruption Law and has been detained for 20 days.
