inp.polri.go.id - The survey again shows that the public believes that the police are able to solve the case of Brigadier Joshua's murder. The steps taken by the National Police in resolving the case of the murder of Brigadier Joshua by the former Head of the Propam Division, Ferdy Sambo, continue to be appreciated by the public. This time through a survey conducted by the Indonesian Survey Panel (PSI), it showed that 76.7% of the public were satisfied with the performance of the Police in handling the case of the murder of Brigadier Joshua. In a survey released on Thursday, September 15, only 17.1% stated that they were not satisfied with the handling of the case. Of course the survey with 1580 respondents from 34 provinces was not just an ordinary survey. The police's swift, decisive, and indiscriminate steps in giving appropriate punishments are certainly seen by the community to be the best measures of the Police in restoring public trust, which had fallen due to the actions of Sambo and his men. Moreover, those who were involved as the main perpetrators were also immediately given a dishonorable dismissal from the police institution, including Sambo. Communication expert, Rahmat Edi Irawan, believes the survey are indeed valid. "Indeed, at first the public was a little hesitant in handling the case of Brigadier Joshua, considering it involves the high officials of the institution. However, the firmness of the National Police Chief in resolving this case, earned public sympathy," he explained.
