Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Secretary General of All Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Yunus Nusi appreciates the police who apprehended the fake doctor Elwizan Aminudin at his house in Cibodas, Bogor, West Java, last January 24th, 2024. Elwizan has pretended to be a doctor for 8 years since 2013 to 2021 by forging his medical diploma from Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. Throughout his career, he has fooled PSSI and several football clubs by assigning him as their doctor. “PSSI is obviously satisfied and thankful for the police in finally arresting Elwizan Aminudin. I believe it is not just us, but many clubs were fooled by his tricks. He has been the national team doctor before the Covid-19 era. In tricking us, he forged his medical diploma from Syiah Kuala University and able to convinced us and many clubs back then,” told Yunus quoted from the official page of PSSI on Friday (2/2/2024). Throughout his career, he has been assigned as the doctor for Persita Tangerang, Barito Putra, U-19 National Team, Madura United, Sriwijaya FC, Kalteng Putra and PSS Sleman. “This case definitely will be the focus for us. For now, those who wants to join the national team officials, their identity will be investigated thoroughly down to its core,” said Yunus firmly. Furthermore, Yunus adds that every doctor who wants to be assigned in League 1, 2, and 3 football clubs will have to photocopy their doctor's diploma that has been legalized by the Faculty of Medicine where they studied. Apart from having a registration certificate (STR), both doctors and physiotherapists must also have a valid practice permit (SIP). (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
