The assigned personnel of West Java Regional Police deployed to support the security on the voting day of the 2024 General Election, which is on February 14th, 2024. “The support from the West Java Regional Police assigned personnel will definitely strengthen our forces in voting day security,” says Sukabumi City Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Ari Setyawan Wibowo on Thursday (2/1/2024). With the reinforcement, Ari is optimistic that the security operation in the city during the voting will be going smoothly. Furthermore, Ari will ensure that his party will secure the election progress for the next two weeks. “We have planned various strategies in anticipating disturbance possibilities and prone areas for the election period, particularly for the voting day,” said the police chief. In anticipating various possibilities that threatened the smoothness of the election, Ari has divided the city into three threat levels, from safest to prone, with prone areas will be secure by more police members. Meanwhile, in anticipating disasters, Sukabumi City Sub-regional Police has contacted the city Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to work together in anticipating the threat. Previously, Sukabumi City has prepared 700 personnel for the election voting day. They were spread into various polling stations for security stations, and some were reserved for reinforcement.
