Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Prabowo Subianto announced a $2 billion investment commitment from Qatar to Danantara, an Indonesian sovereign fund aimed at supporting development and strategic projects.

Speaking after the CEO Forum in Doha on Sunday (13/4/2025), he said, “The meeting was productive. We agreed to strengthen cooperation. [The Emir of Qatar] committed to invest $2 billion through Danantara.”

Minister of Public Housing and Settlements Maruarar Sirait, who accompanied the president, confirmed the investment figure, according to antaranews.com.

The commitment follows ongoing Indonesian economic diplomacy and reflects growing ties between Jakarta and Doha. 

“This is a positive signal. The Emir is very enthusiastic,” President Prabowo added.
