Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Embassies in Phnom Penh and Bangkok have issued urgent advisories for Indonesian citizens to avoid areas near the Cambodia–Thailand border following recent armed clashes.
"The Embassy urges all Indonesians to remain calm, vigilant, and not to panic," said the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh via its official Instagram @indonesiainphnompenh on Thursday night (24/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok also echoed the call, advising citizens in Thailand to avoid border provinces and monitor reliable news sources.
The conflict escalated on Thursday in the Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear regions of Cambodia, bordering Thailand. Both embassies urged Indonesians to report their whereabouts through www.peduliwni.kemlu.go.id and stay updated on the situation.
Both embassies have activated 24-hour consular hotlines to assist Indonesians in affected areas.
