inp.polri.go.id – Pekanbaru. Riau Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi, together with the Governor of Riau, Chairman of the Provincial and Regional Representatives, Yulisman, High Prosecutor of Riau Djaja Subagja and Military Regional Command 031/WB Brigadier General M Syech Ismed reviewed the implementation of vaccination for people who didn't have Citizenship Number in Inner Solapan Bengkalis Riau on Saturday afternoon (08/14/2021). The Independence Vaccination sponsored by the Riau Regional Police in conjunction with the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia aims to achieve herd immunity or community immunity so that people have immunity in preventing the transmission of COVID-19. Located at the Sakai Traditional House in the village of Kesumbo Ampai, Bathin Solapan Bengkalis District, the vaccine activity was attended by 270 peoples from the Sakai tribe and the surrounding community and the delivery of 200 packages of basic food assistance by Regional Leadership Coordination Forum. Bahrum (46 years old), a representative of the Sakai tribe, admitted that he received news of the vaccine from the customary leader. He admitted that he immediately rushed as soon as he got the information, considering that he often did activities outside. "Today we are vaccinated according to the direction of the government. This is for the health and also the survival of our family here," he said. Bahrum said there were around 270 Sakai tribal families in the area or about 600 Sakai tribesmen who lived and settled in the Bathin Solapan area. The Riau Regional Police Chief said that his party took the initiative to help vaccinate residents who have administrative problems (do not have a Civil Registration Number). He said many Sakai tribesmen were initially unable to participate in the COVID-19 vaccine because they did not have an ID card and Citizenship Number. "We are holding the Riau Regional Police's Independence Vaccine to reach our brothers and sisters from the deepest tribe, we are in the midst of the Sakai tribe in the Mandau area. And today we can complete the registration manually so that later we can help them to get vaccinated,” explained the Riau Regional Police Chief. "We will continue this, this is the first vaccine, later together with Forkopimda we will continue again for the second vaccine," explained the Riau Regional Police Chief. The two-star general hopes that by reaching out to the deepest tribes, the common desire to realize herd immunity can be realized. "I'm sure everyone understands that the spread and transmission of COVID-19 is still ongoing, by implementing the vaccine, we have adequate immunity. Today there are 270 Sakai tribesmen and residents around us who are vaccinated in this place, we thank the grandparents who gave the important socialization This vaccine is to bring friends and family to participate in this vaccine activity,” explained the Riau Regional Police Chief.
