Inp.polri.go.id – Riau. To assure the 2024 General Election security, Riau Regional Police have rallied their personnel to secure the polling stations in 12 regencies of the province. During the rally, there were 1,664 of assigned personnel for the task. Riau Regional Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal during his remarks explained that the rally demonstrates unit preparation in securing the 2024 General Election. “The election is the moment for a state to demonstrate their democracy. Therefore, it is important for the Indonesian National Police (INP) to execute a well-prepared strategic security operation, both during voting and post-voting. We also have to continue our coordination with the military, General Election Commission (KPU), Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), and other related stakeholders,” says Riau Regional Police Chief. Furthermore, Iqbal also emphasized that on the upcoming February 11th, 2024, his party will dispatch thousands of assigned personnel from Riau Regional Police and Mobile Brigade Police for polling stations security in 12 regencies. “For that, we have to be prepared in all of aspects, which is why I urged you to prepare your knowledge on tactical and technical strategy, also physical and mental conditions from now, so that you can execute your duties well,” conclude the police chief.
