inp.polri.go.id - Riau. The Riau Regional Police invited palm oil companies in Bumi Lancang Kuning to support President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita program in the field of Food Security.

Led by the Head of Riau Regional Police, Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, he explains that the meeting is part of the collaboration and support for Riau food security through the intercropping of corn sowing.

"Nationally, the corn planting program is set to reach 1.2 million hectares while as for Riau, we are about to sow the corn at the land of 130,000 hectares," he explained on Tuesday (2/4/2025).

He further said that in order to achieve this target, he requires the support of other parties and for this reason, his party is collaborating with a palm oil company in Riau to collaborate in implementing corn planting with an intercropping mechanism.

"The technical achievements are divided into 4 stages. In each stage, we are going to sow the seeds at 25% of the total land hectares. This is important to prepare in order to optimize the production process related to the preparation of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and downstreaming," he concluded.
