Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Rokan Hilir Sub-regional Police installed warning banners along the Manasib River in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau, on Saturday (12/9/2026) to alert residents to potential crocodile attacks. 

Bhabinkamtibmas community police officer Assistant First Inspector Suriyanto set up the warning sign at the Ikan N.12 Bridge in Harapan Jadi Hamlet, a high-visibility location frequently accessed by the public.

"The warning is intended for residents living and conducting daily activities along the river," said Bangko Pusako Police Chief Superintendent Tri Adiyatmika. "Our goal is to prevent communities near the riverbank from facing dangers posed by wild crocodiles."

He stressed the importance of heightened vigilance as local residents regularly use the river for bathing, washing, and fishing. Chief Tri urged the local residents to prioritize personal safety and remain cautious when working or traveling near the water.
