inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed 350 personnel to safeguard the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election candidates campaign. The hundreds of personnel are divided into three units to protect the three candidate pairs who will be campaigning around the province.

“The 2024 Mantap Praja Jaya Ops will focus on security during the election campaign. We ensure that the campaign process will be going smoothly and safely,” says the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam in his official statement on Thursday (10/24/2024).

Ade explains that 168 personnel have been stationed in Central Jakarta, 142 in South Jakarta, while 42 others  are stationed in East Jakarta.

He adds that the assigned personnel will also conduct routine patrol to prevent any security disturbance. Ade also stated that personnel are stationed at strategic locations to safeguard the election campaign process.

“Personnel have been spread to the regions considered crowded. We also routinely conduct patrols to ensure a safe situation,” concludes Ade.
