inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education requires both public and private schools that meet the criteria to provide equal accessibility for students in accessing the Academic Ability Test (TKA).
"Therefore, every educational unit, both public and private, is required to facilitate the TKA. This means that the TKA must be implemented in all educational units. So, once again, every educational unit, whether private or public, is required to organize the TKA," emphasized Asrijanty, Head of the Education Assessment Center of the ministry on Friday (7/11/2025).
She explained that the TKA is not mandatory for students because it is not a tool for determining graduation, but it is beneficial for students who require standardized academic reports from the government.
Therefore, her office requires every public and private educational unit that meets the criteria to administer the test to increase students' opportunities and access to TKA services.
"Because if not, students will not have the opportunity or access to participate in the TKA. So this is unfair, does not provide a sense of justice, and does not provide equal access for every student," added Asrijanty.
Some of these criteria include schools having adequate infrastructure, such as electricity, computers, and internet access, as well as proctors and technicians experienced in conducting standardized assessments.
If a school does not meet these two criteria, he continued, the TKA can be conducted at another educational institution with complete facilities and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, if an educational institution meets these criteria but is not yet accredited, he explained that the unaccredited school will be required to affiliate with an accredited school to validate its students' SHTKA (TKA Result Certificate).
