Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck northwest of Tahuna, Sangihe Islands, North Sulawesi, at 1.15 pm on Tuesday (9/6/2026). The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers.
According to BMKG data, the epicenter was located at coordinates 5.27 North Latitude and 125.32 East Longitude, approximately 185 kilometers northwest of Tahuna. No immediate damage or casualties were reported following the minor undersea tremor.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation, but no tsunami warnings were issued for the surrounding areas.
