Inp.polri.go.id - Muaradua. The South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Sub-regional Police have seized cannabis plants from a village farm in Tanjung Sari village in South Sumatra, arresting two suspects.
“Based on public reports, our narcotics unit found cannabis plants growing in a resident’s field,” said South OKU Police Chief Superintendent I Made Redi Hartana, on Sunday (10/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Two suspects, identified as AP (30) and CT (35), were arrested along with evidence of dried marijuana and live plants.
During the raid on Saturday, officers confiscated five packages of dried leaves weighing 16.03 grams and five cannabis plants ranging from 45 cm to 125 cm in height.
The suspects face charges under the Narcotics Law, carrying a maximum penalty of life imprisonment or death, plus multi-billion rupiah fines.
