Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) confirmed on Saturday (21/3/2026) that public order remains stable with no significant security disturbances reported during the ongoing Operation Ketupat 2026, marking a successful nine days of festive season monitoring across the archipelago.
"The implementation of Operasi Ketupat through its ninth day has proceeded safely and remains conducive," said Senior Superintendent Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, the spokesperson for the 2026 Operation Ketupat Task Force, as quoted by antaranews.com
Official data revealed a 13.86 percent decrease in vehicle volume exiting Jakarta compared to normal periods, prompting authorities to officially terminate the national "one-way" traffic scheme. Despite 260 recorded traffic incidents resulting in 15 fatalities, police noted that traffic flow has largely stabilized, allowing for a return to normal two-way operations on major toll roads.
As the focus shifts toward securing tourist destinations and the upcoming return flow, the INP urged travelers to utilize the 20 percent toll discounts available on 26 and 27 March 2026. This strategy, combined with the government's work-from-home advisory, aims to prevent extreme congestion as millions prepare to travel back to urban centers.
