Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia's state budget (APBN) recorded a surplus of Rp4.3 trillion or 0.02% of GDP as of April 2025, reversing a three-month deficit trend, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati announced on Tuesday (20/5/2025).
"After a continuous deficit from January to March, APBN 2025 experienced a turn around in April," she said during a session on the 2026 fiscal policy outlook at the House of Representatives (DPR), as quoted by antaranews.com.
State revenue rose to Rp 810.5 trillion (27% of target), up nearly Rp300 trillion from March. Tax revenues reached Rp657 trillion, including Rp 557.1 trillion from taxes and Rp 100 trillion from customs and excise. Non-tax revenues amounted to Rp 153.3 trillion.
“Revenue continues to strengthen, indicating that economic activity is improving despite shocks,” she said.
Government spending reached Rp 806.2 trillion (22.3% of target), with central government spending at Rp 546.8 trillion and regional transfers at Rp 259.4 trillion. The primary balance showed a surplus of Rp 173.9 trillion, while cash reserves stood at Rp 283.6 trillion.
