Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi instructed the Presidential Press and Information Bureau to find a resolution following the revocation of CNN Indonesia journalist Diana Valencia’s press ID for Palace coverage on Saturday.

“We will look for the best way out. I have already asked the Press Bureau to establish communication and seek the best solution together,” he told reporters after attending a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday evening (28/9/2025) in South Jakarta, as reported by antaranews.com

The incident reportedly stemmed from Valencia asking a question deemed out-of-quesiton during President Prabowo Subianto’s arrival from a state visit at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base. CNN Indonesia’s editor-in-chief, Titin Rosmasari, confirmed the ID was directly taken from the newsroom by a Palace press officer, calling the move “shocking” and lacking official explanation.

CNN Indonesia has demanded clarification through a formal letter and is scheduled to meet the Palace Press Bureau on Monday. The network insists Valencia’s question on the free nutritious meal program (MBG) was relevant to public concern.
