Supporting the Acceleration of Vaccinations, Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police Targets 93,224 Vaccines in Katingan and East Kotawaringin District

In order to support government programs in accelerating vaccination, the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, directly review the implementation of mass vaccination at the Hampalit Community Health Center (Puskesman), Katingan Hilir District, Katingan Regency. The activity was also attended by Regional Secretary of Central Kalimantan Fahrizal Fitri, Military Region Command Head of Staff (Kasrem) 102 Panju Punjung Colonel Czi Wakhyono, Inspector of Regional Monitoring (Irwasda) Police Grand Commissioner Iman Prijantoro, High Rank Executives of Central Kalimantan Regional Police. Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police mentioned that vaccination this time is intended for health workers, public servants and the senior citizens. For senior citizens, they are vulnerable of being exposed to Covid-19. "In this vaccination, we are targeting 93,224, divided in two districts, namely Katingan 25,429 and East Kotawaringin 67,795 and prioritizing the senior citizens. It is way to reduce the spread of Covid 19 in Katingan and East Kotawaringin Regency," he explained. After monitor the activities in Katingan Regency, the group immediately proceeded to East Kotawaringin Regency which was located at the Baamang Community Health Center Unit II Baamang Hulu District, East Kotawaringin Regency. At the end of the activity, Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police distributed masks for Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police members as well the health workers. He also handed over parcels of fruit to the community. Meanwhile, the Head of Public Affairs Division of Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner K. Eko Saputro, said the visit of Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police and his entourage was aimed to ensure the vaccination program targeted the right community. There were 290 people recorded by Hampalit Community Health Center and there were 120 people recorded by Unit II Baamang Community Health Center that followed the vaccination, and most of them were senior citizens. "We also advise the public not to be afraid of being vaccinated and let come to participate in vaccinations because vaccination is 100 percent safe and halal," the Head of Public Affairs Division of Central Kalimantan Regional Police concluded.
