Inp.polri.go.id - Ciamis. The Ciamis Police Sub-regional Police have confirmed that the suspect behind the mutilation of his wife, identified as Y (44), was in debt of over Rp 100 million.

After the questioning of several witnesses, the police found that Tarsum (50), the suspect, had accumulated debt after his failed business venture.

"According to witness accounts, there was indeed a debt of over Rp100 million," Senior Inspector Joko Prihatin, the Ciamis Police Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, said on Monday (6/5/2024).

He explained that the debt was also accumulated to support his family's expenses.

Direct communication with the suspect has proven difficult, prompting authorities to arrange a psychological evaluation with the hospital.

"We'll proceed with the evaluation today," Chief Joko  said.
