Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Tamansari Police Office arrested two traffickers on Friday, for illegally selling thousands of prescription-only pills at a grocery shop on Jalan Keamanan, West Jakarta.
Authorities seized 3,000 dangerous pills, including 1,500 Tramadol and 1,325 Excimer tablets, along with cash from the day's sales.
"The shop was disguised as a basic food store. The pills were hidden in the back, and the suspects used specific secret codes to serve buyers," Tamansari Police Chief Senior Inspector Bobby M. Zulfikar stated on Saturday (16/5/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com..
He noted the ten-day-old operation targeted youths and adults, selling strips for Rp10,000 each.
Criminal Investigation Unit Head Assistant Senior Inspector Police Egy Irwansyah confirmed the suspects face charges under the 2023 Health Law. Offenders could face up to 12 years in prison or a maximum fine of Rp 5 billion.
