Here are some appeals from the police, which are summarized from several sources.
1. Information Only From Came From One Door, The National Police Headquarters
The Polda Metro Jaya has fully submitted the investigation development of the Brigadier J's death to the National Police Headquarters. Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Endra Zulpan, explained so that there will be only one source of information related to the Brigadier J’s death, namely through the National Police Headquarters.
"Regarding the 'update' of Brigadier J's case, the information on it will be focused onto the one source only, the National Police Headquarters," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, last Thursday (21/7/2022).
The Head of Public Relations added that the National Police Headquarters would later convey every detail of the development of the case of Brigadier J's death to the public.
2. Lawyers are Asked to Issue Statements Regarding Procedural Law
Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police Headquarters, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, admitted that the family lawyer was considered to have made quite a lot of speculation regarding the death of Brigadier J. According to him, his statement was actually unnecessary because the lawyer should have issued a statement regarding the procedural law.
"The lawyer should have issued his statements according to the procedural law. So, don't you speculate about injuries, or about other things based on your speculations," said the Two-Star General.
3. Don't make speculations
Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police Headquarters, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, also responded to the statement by the Attorney General, Kamaruddin regarding the alleged death threat against Brigadier J.
"All the information related to the brigadier J is still in a special team," explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Sunday (24/7).
The police also confirmed that the development of the case of Brigadier J's death was still under investigation, so he had not heard or received the information as claimed by Kamaruddin.
" I can't tell you anything if i don’t have that information. Because I myself did not know anything about that," he said.
The Two-Star Police General also asked anyone not to speculate things when the special team themselves is currently working on the investigation. The statement that was conveyed not by an expert, he considered would only make things worse.
"I urge there should be no speculations. If it was stated by a non-expert, it would cause an issue," he said.
4. Media should not quote from non-expert sources
Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police Headquarters, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, gave a firm warning to anyone, including the lawyer Brigadier J, regarding the shootout case between police. According to him, Brigadier J's lawyer should stop issuing speculations so that the investigation process goes well. This is because the National Police considers that the statement came out from a non-expert, so it cannot be accounted for.
"If media still quote from a non-expert sources, it would only cause a problem and made things even harder," explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police, last Saturday (23/7/2022).
