inp.polri.go.id - Papua. Nemangkawi Task Force together with the Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police and Pamrahwan Task Force respond to reports of a fire at Oksibil 1 State Secondary School, Yapimakot Street, Esipding Village, Serambakon District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency.
Crime scene patrols and investigations will be carried out on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 06.30 Eastern Indonesian Time. The chronology of events is as follows: At 05.30 Eastern Indonesian Time, the Chief Deputy of Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police, Police Commissioner Anton Ampang TL, SM received information from Battalion Commander A of 3rd Regiment of the Pioneers, Police Commissioner Titus Yudho Uly that a fire had occurred at Oksibil 1 State Secondary School, Yapimakot Street, Esipding Village, Serambakon District, Pegunungan Bintang District. On the Principal of Oksibil 1 State Secondary School, Mr Kasiono, then reported to the Chief of the Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Cahyo Sukarnito, and the Chief of the Departemental Police said to wait for the officers to check the crime scene while maintaining the security and safety of personnel and residents.
At 06.15 Eastern Indonesian Time, the Chief Deputy of Departemental Police, Police Commissioner Anton Ampang TL, SM, together with the Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police Personnel and the Indonesian National Police Joint Task Force personnel, moved to the location where the incident occurred.
At 06.44 Eastern Indonesian Time, the Chief Deputy of Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police and personnel arrived at the location and immediately checked the fire scene while securing the location. After processing the crime scene, the results are:
- There has been a fire at Oksibil 1 State Secondary School, Yapimakot Street, Esipding Village, Serambakon District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency. The fire is believed to have occurred at 04.00 Eastern Indonesian Time. The distance between the Departemental Police and the crime scene is about 10 km towards the Serambakon District. Work fires occurred in 2 buildings consisting of 3 classrooms, one office room and one teacher's room.
The complex of Serambakon 1 State Secondary School consists of 11 building units made of wood/board.
-The fire scene is close to the Indonesian National Armed Forces press shooting scene on the Yapimakot Serambakon bridge in 2020 and 2021
- It is suspected that this fire incident was intentional, considering that the results of checking outside the scene at a height and shooting range found many footprints of footwear, cigarette butts, and it was suspected that a place to lie down to monitor
-Currently, the temporary fire scene has been installed with Police Lines
- The police still have not confirmed that the fire incident was caused by intentional or negligence because there were no witnesses who saw the incident and no evidence was found at the fire scene, and the personnel of the Detective and Criminal Unit of Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police are still conducting further investigations.
At 08.10 Eastern Indonesian Time, the Chief Deputy of Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police, together with the Police personnel and the Indonesian National Police Joint Task Force, carried out patrols around the Fire Locations as well as conveyed to the people of the Serambakon District to jointly maintain the Community Security and Order situation in the area.
At 08.25 Eastern Indonesian Time, the Chief Deputy of Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police and the Departemental Police personnel and the Indonesian National Police Joint Task Force personnel continued the patrol to ensure the situation remained safe and conducive.
At 09.40 Eastern Indonesian Time, Departemental Police personnel and the Indonesian National Police Joint Task Force returned to the Pegunungan Bintang Departemental Police Headquarters.
