Nduga Regency, Wednesday (27/04). Head of Public Relations of Cartenz Peace Ops, Commissioner Drs. Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, SH said that the violence in April carried out by the KKB had deeply disturbed the residents. This act of crime adds to the long series of violence committed by the KKB in several areas in Papua, especially in the 5 areas of Cartenz Peace Ops. “Lastly, KKB shoots Samsul Sattu, a resident of the Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, on Monday, April 25, 2022. Now the victim’s body has been delivered to his hometown in Toraja Prov. South Sulawesi," said the Head of the Public Relations of the Task Force. After the series of violent acts, the security, and social security situation, especially in the 5 areas of Cartenz Peace Ops, has gradually become normal and the community has been able to return to their normal activities. "Currently our efforts, which were assisted by our colleagues from the TNI, are to increase the patrols, especially in the Operations area, to ensure community activities can run normally as usual. In addition, law enforcement efforts for anyone who commits criminal acts will continue to be carried out. This is to show that the state is present amid its own people and will not be defeated by criminal groups that continue to commit crimes against citizens and security forces," said Ahmad.
