inp.polri.go.id - The West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Task Force managed to uncover the illicit trafficking of ecstasy pills and methamphetamine within a day.
The officers managed to confiscate 4,135 grams and 3,327.92 grams of methamphetamine.
West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pasma Royce, said, the arrests were happened in two different locations.
"The two perpetrators, II (36) were successfully arrested in the Petojo area, Central Jakarta and RH aka K (40) were successfully arrested at the Tambora Five Bridge, West Jakarta and a recidivist in a similar case," explained the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief.
He explained that the disclosure of the case began with a report that there was illicit trafficking of narcotics in the West Jakarta area.
From this information, officers conducted an investigation and it was found that the perpetrator, II (36), was in the Petojo area, Central Jakarta.
The perpetrator was arrested on Wednesday (18/5/22) at around 00.30 WIB at a house in Pembangunan IV Dalam Street, North Petojo, Central Jakarta.
During a search, evidence was found of three medium and small plastic clip packages containing methamphetamine with a gross weight of 35.92 grams.
"The drugs were hidden behind photo figures in the dining room and in the warehouse of the house," explained the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief.
From the results of the disclosure, the drugs have a worth as much as 3 billion rupiahs.
In order to be held accountable for their actions, the perpetrators are subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of 20 (twenty) years in prison.
