Paniai Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Abdus Syukur says two helicopters were dispatched to evacuate the three bodies shot by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Police Post 99, Paniai Regency, Central Papua. Report noted that the evacuation process in Nabire went smoothly without disturbances, and they were immediately moved to Nabire Regional Hospital. According to the Paniai Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent Abdus Syukur, the shooting incident occurred on Wednesday (3/20/2024) morning. Two police members, Second Police Brigadier Arnaldobert and Second Police Brigadier Sandi Defrit were shot when they were securing Helipad 99. Not long after, a civilian by the name of Dani was shot dead by an arrow on his back. On the other hand, the body of Second Police Brigadier Sandi Defri will be evacuated to Jayapura on Saturday, while his colleagues, Second Police Brigadier Arnaldobert will be buried in Nabire.
